Silver medal, Concours Général Agricole de Paris, 2003.

SOIL & CLIMATE :

Clayey and Calcareous
Oceanic climate

GRAPES :

35 % Merlot
30 % Cabernet franc
25 % Tannat
  5 % Cabernet Sauvignon

VINIFICATION :

Traditional ( 28°-30°) with a special vintage process (complete stalking).

MACERATION :

18 to 22 days

FERMENTATION :

10 months in oak barrels

TASTING NOTES :

A wine with a deep ruby red colour. The bouquet combines a scent of red berries and blackcurrant with notes of prunes and tobacco. Velvety to the palate, the tannins are finely integrated with the oak taste.

SOMMELIER'S SUGGESTION :

To be consumed with red meat, stews, game casseroles, mushrooms, cheese and others specialties of the south-west of France.
